Talk To Your Children

"Talk To Your Children"

Mr. Suave's To Do List

Remember how old your child/children are for each topic.

Schedule a day of the week to talk to him/her/them each week.

What tradition would you like to do with each talk?
(Example: Go out for ice cream, milk & cookies in the kitchen, a walk in the park.)

Please make sure that the child does not have their cell phone/tablet/electronic device with them. It's important that they can give you their undivided attention.

Ask yourself: What do I want to teach/talk about today?

Remember to listen to what your child's opinion is about what you discussed. Even if you don't agree. When they don't agree or have another thought, don't argue...ask them why it is that they think the way they do. And reason/guide them from there.

Ask them about their life. Learn about what's going on in their life.

Make a list of topics to talk about. And schedule them. As well, add the topics that kids talk about.

Remember to talk about more delicate topics as soon as possible. They may be in a life situation at school/daycare/etc... and could use your feedback ASAP.

Mr Suave: Please tell me what you think? Do you have any ideas that you feel I should share with others on this channel on the next video lesson? Please let me know in the comments below, or anywhere in the comments on any of my social media pages.
